Robert A. Hoffman, M.S.T.O.M. Lic. Ap.
Robert Hoffman has been a Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbal Medical Doctor for over 24 years. Rob holds a Masters in Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine. He graduated from the Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine St. Petersburg in 1995 and has traveled all over the world studying Oriental Medicine.
After completing acupuncture training in Florida in 1996 Robert A. Hoffman Studied in Seoul S. Korea at the leading Oriental Medical Hospital; Kyung Hee University. And in 2000 visited Agra India to study with Deepok Chopra in the intensive course; “How to Know God”.
He has taught at two acupuncture schools in the Washington D.C. area, lectured in community settings in both Florida and the D.C. area teaching lifestyle education, Nei Gong/meditation techniques, weight loss classes in both a corporate wellness program and the clinic setting as well as presenting case study work to the Acupuncture Society of Virginia. He still travels extensively to research as well as teach traditional healing techniques. He is currently finishing work on continuing education credits for the N.C.C.A.O.M. (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) to advance allied health care providers in the integration of Eastern and Western holistic care of each person.
His style of treatment relies on the 8 limbs of Oriental Medicine to support the highest state of health and virtue innate and within each person.
Rob is current with N.C.C.A.O.M. Florida and Virginia state license requirements for Acupuncture Physician Licensure.
His specialties include: working with chronic pain, migraines, degenerative nerve disorders like parkinson’s, alcohol and drug addition, fertility and pregnancy, digestive disorders, sleep disorders, depression and anxiety while motivating client lifestyle behaviors. He used Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture to improve patient body biodynamics along with stress level reduction, which ultimately leads to a variety of patient benefits and clinical outcomes.
He offers a 12 week weight loss and lifestyle adjustment curriculum to benefit metabolic syndrome symptoms which is a cluster of conditions that increase the risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes.
