Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
The formation of the Craniosacral System begins in the womb and its function continues though death. Its vitality is always harmonizing between foundation laid down during the Primal Health period and the experience of the human condition.
Primal Health includes fetal life, birth, the prenatal period and the first year of life. ‘Primal health research’ is this new framework of studies exploring correlations between what happens during the primal period and what will happen later on in life. Essentially what is being proven over and over again in scientific research is that what happens in the primal health period determines what genes get turned on or off later on in life which points to what illnesses manifest in adulthood.
The underlying principle behind Craniosacral Therapy is that there is a healing intelligence within the body that maintains health at all times. The effect of this work enhances central nervous system function by balancing fluid tension around the brain, spinal cord and entire fascial system. It derives it names from the bones involved.
The main objective of Craniosacral Therapy is to find restrictions and/or compressions in the fascial system and cranial vault that are caused by injury or trauma. All systems in the body are connected. Any dysfunction in either system will affect other systems and could cause dysfunction/disease in the body if left untreated. The practitioner does this by using subtle manual techniques to organize tissues to release and assist in the hydraulic forces inherent in the entire fluid body.
